Heskey Issues Advice To Leicester Players Ahead Of Everton Clash

Heskey issues advice to Leicester players ahead of Everton clash

Former Foxes striker Emile Heskey has urged Leicester City players to "dig deep" and "give it their all" when they face Everton on Sunday.

The Foxes have endured a difficult start to the season, winning just two of their opening eight Premier League games.

They will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Fulham last weekend when they travel to Goodison Park.

Heskey, who played for Leicester between 2000 and 2004, believes the players need to show more character and determination if they are to turn their form around.

"They need to dig deep and give it their all," he told LCFC TV.

"They need to show the fans that they are up for the fight and that they are not going to give up without a fight."

Heskey also believes that the players need to be more clinical in front of goal.

"They are creating chances but they are not taking them," he said.

"They need to be more ruthless in front of goal and they need to start putting away their chances."

Leicester will be without a number of key players for the match against Everton, including James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, and Jonny Evans.

However, Heskey believes that the players who do play need to step up and take their chance.

"It is an opportunity for the players who are coming in to show what they can do," he said.

"They need to take their chance and show the manager that they are good enough to play for Leicester City."

Leicester are currently 19th in the Premier League table, just one point above the relegation zone.

They will be looking to avoid defeat against Everton to give themselves a chance of moving up the table.
