NASCAR reveals Chicago Street Race on tap for 2023 Cup Series seasons

July 1-2 weekend to feature top-tier racing headline

The NASCAR Cup Series will race in downtown Chicago in 2023, the sanctioning body announced Thursday.

The Chicago Street Race will be held on a 12-turn, 2.2-mile temporary street course on July 2, 2023. The race will be the first Cup Series race in Chicago since 1956, when the series raced at Soldier Field.

The Chicago Street Race will be the first NASCAR Cup Series race on a street course since 1958, when the series raced at the temporary road course at the former Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, New York.

The race weekend will also feature concerts by Buddy Guy and other artists.

Tickets for the Chicago Street Race will go on sale to the public on Friday, May 5, at 10 a.m. CT.
