Crystal Palace thrashes Man United 4-0

A dismal evening for United

Crystal Palace has dealt a crushing blow to Manchester United, humiliating the Red Devils 4-0 in a Premier League match at Selhurst Park on Wednesday.

A nightmare for Rangnick

Ralf Rangnick's reign as United's interim manager got off to a disastrous start, as his team was outplayed and outclassed by a rampant Palace side. The defeat leaves United languishing in eighth place in the standings, while Palace climbs to 11th.

The match was a tale of two halves, with Palace dominating the first half and United the second. However, it was Palace who took the lead in the 12th minute through an own goal by Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Odsonne Edouard doubled Palace's advantage just before halftime, and then came the sucker punch in the second half when Zaha and Mateta added two more to complete the rout.

The loss is a major setback for Rangnick, who is under increasing pressure to turn United's fortunes around. The Red Devils have now lost three of their last four Premier League matches and are in danger of missing out on a top-four finish.
